Parent Organization: Media/Entertainment Organizations

We are UVM's residential theatre club! Come join us as we work on improvisational exercises, festivals that showcase your writing/directing/performance skills, and introduce you to a whole variety of creative people!

Some events University Players have put on are:

-The Redeye Festival, a 24-hour creative theater project for charity

-The Spring Cabaret, a chance to showcase a scene, song or dance in front of an audience

-Monologue Jukebox, performing monologues on campus as a fundraiser

-"The Weir" by Colin McPherson, a student directed play

-"Frisbee House" and "Horror in Hyannis," student-written plays performed spring 2012 and 2013, respectively

-"Romeo and Juliet" set in the 1940s - performed in spring 2014

We have also gone to see plays in Burlington area as a club and volunteered with the Very Merry Theatre, a children's community theater company.

We are always open to new ideas for events and new members!

Any of these things sound interesting?  Then please join!

We don't typically use the Lynx for communication, we use our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/universityplayers/ and email as our primary means of communication. We're also working on a twitter, stay tuned! :)
