Profile

Parent Organization: Cultural Organizations

The Asian American Student Union (AASU) is a cultural and diversity organization at the University of Vermont. As an ALANA affiliated organization, our goal is to 1) enhance the awareness of Asian and Asian-American identities and cultures within the UVM community; 2) foster a supporting environment based on respect, understanding, and acceptance within the Asian community on campus.

To achieve our goals, AASU members develop and implement cultural and fundraising events every semester in order to raise awareness about issues concerning the API community, share the vibrant and diverse cultures of Asia, and enhance the experiences of Asian/Pacific Island (A/PI) A/PI American students at UVM.
